Kiambu, Kenya – In a moment now celebrated as divine and historic, the Ashidi Kiambu Community Organisation (ACKO) hosted an extraordinary gathering of Christian leaders from Burkina Faso, Indonesia, the Philippines, and beyond. Under the leadership of Sir David Ngugi, ACKO’s President, the event transcended a typical meeting—it was, as he called it, “a God-ordained encounter.”
This landmark assembly brought together diverse cultures under one mission: discipleship through the Disciple Making Movement (DMM)—a strategy reshaping global Christianity with its simplicity and exponential growth.
ACKO’s Day of Divine Alignment
The delegation arrived in Kiambu, a region known for its agriculture but now marked by spiritual significance. The day overflowed with worship, testimonies, and cross-cultural unity, proving God’s movement across nations.
Sir David Ngugi declared,
“This was no accident. ACKO has been positioned for such a time—to ignite a disciple-making flame in Kenya and beyond.”
Why the DMM Strategy Resonated
At the core of the event was DMM, a method empowering ordinary believers to multiply disciples organically.
- A Philippines delegate shared how a small group grew into 500+ disciples in months.
- Jane Wanjiku, a local youth leader, said, “ACKO showed me discipleship starts with my own community.”
ACKO’s Role in Global Discipleship
Testimonies from Burkina Faso revealed entire villages turning to Christ through DMM. In response, ACKO members pledged to launch Discovery Bible Studies, ensuring the movement spreads locally.
